Madison Turners (Turnverein) is a non-profit organization
that was formed in 1855. We strive to:

1) Make possible the development of a sound body. This organization shall operate schools of gymnastics, volleyball, and other sports under competent instruction and supervision; the schools shall be available to all
members and non-members.

2) The school admits students of any race, color, gender, national and ethnic origin to the rights, privileges, programs and activities generally accorded or made available to the students at the school. It does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, gender, national or ethnic origin in the administration of its educational policies, admissions policies, scholarship and loan programs, and athletic or other school-administered programs.

3) Development of a sound mind shall be made possible and furthered by sponsoring lectures, debates, social functions, craft and hobby instructions, etc. This organization may participate in community and other organization activities when the purpose and aims are mutual.

 

            150th Turners Historical Display

	At our celebration on September 11, 2005, many historic cultural items were on display. These pictures represented our volleyball and gymnastic teams through the past 150 years.
Other items on display were old bar bells and pins that were used by the early Turner gymnasts.

Madison Turners emphasizes the importance of family, upon which the greatness of our country has been built and the harmonious education of the body and mind. We strive to promote our ideals through gymnastics and volleyball programs that teach health and physical education.

Our historic German organization is now over 150 years old!

Turner Hall provides a nice setting for wedding receptions, parties of all kinds and business functions. Our School of Gymnastics is a great place for children to learn introductory to advanced gymnastic skills. We provide programs for children ages 2 to 18+. We are able to give children scholarships to attend our school. We offer open volleyball sessions during the week and on Sundays.

Although our founders were early German settlers, our membership is now made up of a diverse group of folks that believe in our motto “a sound mind in a sound body”. We are a non-profit organization, which admits members of any race, color and national or ethnic origin.

GYMNASIUM RENTALS:

Our state-of-the-art gymnasium is available for Birthday Parties, Children’s Holiday Parties, Field Trips, or Private Lessons. Our colorful, fully-equipped gym is perfect for hosting a birthday bash! Get motivated and master that skill with one of our safety-certified instructors. Plan your next Field Trip at Turners, where the kids can tumble the afternoon away on our inflatable Tumble-Trak or dive into our huge Foam Pit- in our comfortable, air-conditioned facility.

VOLLEYBALL RENTALS:

Our beautiful Volleyball Courts are ideal for extra practices. We have private locker rooms with showers for your convenience. Our clean, air-conditioned wood courts have a built-in sound system so they are perfect for school dances & private parties too!

BANQUET HALL RENTALS:

Turner Hall is perfect for Wedding Receptions, Reunions, Holiday Parties, Anniversary Parties, Fundraisers and Business Functions.
